Tour to the Krimml Waterfalls - the Wonder of Nature you ought to see
Water stands for life, power and time. No photo can convey the beauty of a bubbling stream, the noise, shine, or water smell. Such a miracle of nature must be seen for yourself. The Krimml Waterfalls are located 120 kilometers from Salzburg in the National Park Hohe Tauern. The height difference between the three rapids of the waterfall is more than 390 meters.
Thus, it is the largest waterfall in Austria and the fifth in Europe. Starting its source from a height of 3000 meters, the waterfall bursts into the Krimmlertal Valley with powerful streams, feeding the Salzach River with its crystal clear waters.
The excursion to the waterfalls from Salzburg takes about 8-9 hours. Most of the way leads through beautiful mountain landscapes with peaceful villages and green pastures. There will be a lot to show and to tell. We can take a break for a cup of coffee at any beautiful place and indeed will have a delicious lunch in some small village. Arriving at the waterfall, we will take a hike, and depending on your skills and wishes, I will choose the optimal way for you.
The way from Salzburg to the Krimml Waterfalls is not close. It takes more than two hours, so if you have enough time, I would recommend even a two-day trip and visit some other highlights of the National Park Hohe Tauern, for example, the Grossglockner Hohalpenstrasse Panoramic Road. For the night, we will stay in an inexpensive mountain guesthouse with a delicious breakfast. Such a tour program will be even more intense and, at the same time, unhurried.
I will send details about the tour and price proposal immediately after your request.
