By train from Munich (München) to Salzburg for a sightseeing tour

Children under 14 can travel for free with accompanying parents or close relatives.

From the airport of Munich, the express train S8 runs to Munich Central Station every 20 minutes. If heading to Salzburg, get off at the penultimate station, Munich Ostbahnhof. Then, you can change to a direct train to Salzburg with the same Bayern Ticket. The travel time from Munich to Salzburg is 1 hour and 45 minutes.
