Sightseeing transfer SALZBURG - MUNICH

The distance between Salzburg and Munich is approximately 150 kilometers (or 95 miles). There are plenty of attractions between the two cities that are worth visiting. To make the most of your holiday time, I recommend booking a sightseeing transfer. This way, you will see the most interesting sights on the way to your next destination. For example, the Eagle's Nest, Neuschwanstein Castle, Herrenchiemsee Palace, as well as the towns of Füssen and Bad Reichenhall. These are just a few of the many options available to you.

How to get from Salzburg to the Ski Resorts

Choosing a ski resort and booking a hotel are important tasks when planning a ski trip, but getting to the destination is just as crucial. If you are traveling from a distant location, you may arrive at Salzburg via airplane. The W.A. Mozart Airport is situated in the city and is only a 15-minute taxi ride from the historic center of Salzburg. Munich Airport, 180km away, or Vienna, 300km away, are also options, and trains run from both airports.

Transfers from Salzburg to the ski resorts

At Salzburg Airport, you can find a taxi rank at the exit. The fare is determined by the taximeter. If you are going outside the city, the taxi driver will calculate the maximum number of kilometers per trip and multiply it by 2.50 - 2.70 euros, depending on the number of passengers and the car's size.

The car rental companies are located in the opposite to the airport building. However, Salzburg car rentals are rather expensive, particularly during peak season. For this reason, many tourists opt to take a taxi to the German town of Freilassing, which is situated on the Austrian border. There are car rental offices of SIXT, Eurocar, and others. Germany is more affordable in terms of car renting.

Public transportation is another option for reaching the ski resort. It is the most affordable option but can be tedious, particularly if you carry ski gear. Opposite the airport is a bus stop where trolley bus line No.2 runs to the railway station every ten minutes (every twenty minutes on weekends). With connections, one can travel to Zell am See, Bad Gastein, Bad Hofgastein, Schladming, and Kitzbuhel by train. It takes an average of 1.5-2 hours one way.

Suburban buses also depart from the railway station. Please refer to the web links with train and bus schedules in the footer of my website.

Salzburg Transfers from the Airport to the Ski Resorts

Booking a private transfer is the best way to reach any ski resort. I offer pickups from hotels, airports, or train stations to various ski resorts such as Schladming, Zell is See, Saalbach, Hinterglemm, Bad Gastein, Obertauern, Bad Hofgastein, Flachau, Going am Wilden Kaiser, Kitzbuhel, Kaprun, Maria Alm, Zauchensee, Mayrhofen and others. After the services are provided, you can pay at a pre-agreed cost. The car is the Volkswagen Caravelle T6, an extended version with a spacious luggage compartment that can accommodate up to eight passengers.

During the trip, I'll provide some useful information about the ski resort and offer excursions on a ski-free day. I'll also be happy to assist with the check-in upon arrival. You'll communicate directly with me when booking a transfer without any intermediaries or commission overpayment.

To find out the estimated cost of the service, you can check the UBER app.
