Transfers from Salzburg to the Ski Resorts

Transfers from Salzburg to the ski resorts

Choosing a ski resort and booking a hotel is only half the job. The second, and no less important task is getting there.

Skiers from further afield usually arrive in Salzburg by plane. The W.A. Mozart Airport is located in the city, just a 20-minute taxi ride from the historic center of Salzburg.

You can also fly to Munich Airport (180km) or Vienna (300km), where trains run.

There is a taxi rank at the exit of Salzburg Airport. The taximeter determines the fare. If you are going out of the city, the taxi driver will take the maximum number of kilometers per trip and multiply it by 2.20 - 2.50 euros, depending on the number of passengers and the size of the car.

There is a multi-story car park opposite the airport building where the car hire companies are located. I must say that car hire in Salzburg is very EXPENSIVE, especially in high season. Therefore, many tourists take a taxi and drive to the German town of Freilassing, which is right on the border with Austria. There are car hire offices for SIXT, Eurocar and others. In any case, Germany is cheaper in this respect.

Public transport is another option for getting to the ski resort. It is the cheapest but the most tedious method, especially if you are on the road all day and hung with bags of ski gear. There is a bus stop opposite the airport, from which the trolley bus line. No.2 runs to the railway station every 10 minutes (on weekends, every 20 minutes). One can get to Zell am See, Bad Gastein, Bad Hofgastein, Schladming, and Kitzbuhel by train with connections. It takes, on average, 1.5-2 hours one way. Suburban buses also depart from the railway station. See the Web links with the train and bus schedule in the footer of my website.

If you are going to stay in Salzburg and would like to go for a day to some ski resort, you can use the Snow Space Salzburg Ski Shuttle service. From December 17 to March 19, a special bus for skiers runs from Salzburg. It departs daily at 8:30 from Mirabell Square and goes to the Flachau ski resort. The group is accompanied by an English-speaking guide, from whom you buy a ski pass at a standard price as payment for the bus. The bus costs nothing separately. This service is used not only by tourists but also by many residents of Salzburg, as it is more efficient than driving their car.  Salzburg Transfers from the Airport to the Ski Resorts

The most reliable and comfortable way to get to any ski resort is to order an individual transfer. Therefore, I offer rides, leaving from any convenient place: hotel, airport, or train station, to such ski resorts as Schladming, Zell is See, Saalbach, Hinterglemm, Bad Gastein, Obertauern, Bad Hofgastein, Flachau, Going am Wilden Kaiser, Kitzbuhel, Kaprun, Maria Alm, Zauchensee, Mayrhofen and others.

The payment takes place after the services at a pre-agreed cost. My car is the Volkswagen Caravelle T6, an extended version with a large luggage compartment with a capacity for up to eight passengers.

During the trip, I will share some helpful information with you, tell you about the specifics of the ski resort, and also offer my excursions on a ski-free day. Upon arrival, I will help with the check-in if needed.

When ordering a transfer, you will communicate directly with me, with no intermediaries and overpayment of commission.

The estimated cost can see via the UBER app

In your request inform me about the date, place and time of your arrival, how many people you are, how much luggage, the name of the hotel and the ski resort.
